The story, behind the name blue sky fox, originated in Bombay in summer of 2005, following a heat wave in an already hot city. My friend Shaju & I took refuge in the largest national park in Asia: A 104-sq-km green expanse of pure O2 in the heart of the concrete city that can be very polluted.
This jungle has cow/buffalo milk dairies, next to a protected(?), unmanned forest filled with leopards, hyenas & foxes, some 10-kilometres away. Imagine!
Gets interesting! We took these midnight walks for over a year through a dark spot that had foxes perched on the very trees we walked under; as informed later by illegal encroachers. Thank God! We live to tell the tale. Can you see the fox?
